Fly Fishing Equipment Information

Clothing: All clothing should be of a drab colour. For safety's sake it essential that you wear glasses (preferably Polaroid) and a hat. Waterproof boots, jacket and trousers are desirable.

Licence: An Environment Agency Licence is required and may be purchased from any Post Office prior to your visit. Please note they are NOT available from Wessex Fly Fishing.

Tackle: Please do not buy any tackle for your preliminary training, as we will supply all you need. However, if you already possess some tackle bring it along for assessment.

We stock a range of tackle in our shop and can advise you on your needs.

Please note that we do not charge for the loan of our equipment, however we do expect you to reimburse us for any damage or losses.

Lunch: Please bring a picnic or visit a local pub.
