Wessex Fly Fishing Tuition Courses

Learn all the elements of successful fly fishing with the long established Wessex style of tuition and enjoy our enviable position surrounded by Dorset’s beautiful coutryside.

Richard Slocock founded the Wessex Fly Fishing School in 1980. The tuition, fishing and accommodation has been built up over the years. Richard holds various fly fishing qualifications and for many years was the sole instructor. Richard is a recent Chairman of the Frome, Piddle Fisheries Association and current Chairman of the Wild Trout Trust.

In 2004 Tony King took over the role of Instructor. All tuition enquiries and bookings should now be made directly through Tony ONLY.

Tony holds the STANIC, SGAIC and APGAI qualifications and is also the current Chairman of REFFIS the prestigious "Register of Fly Fishing Instructors and Schools" of which the Wessex Fly Fishing School is a founder member.

For many years Tony also campaigned for river improvements in the Scottish Borders before returning to Dorset.
